I have been carrying on with my otter this morning.

I love pastlemat but for the grain, so when Bonny Snowdon Academy does a sketch type tutorial on this surface I struggle because I just don’t want to see the grain and my brain starts telling me I can’t do this. The evil thing then sits on my shoulder saying it’s awful, you have to stop and all that jazz.

I have told it this morning to shut up several times and to just go with what I feel.

I’ve even stopped watching Bonny showing us and have started to just let the pencil do what it wants. I would never have thought I’d do that but it needs to be done at times.

12 months ago I would never have thought I’d do such a thing. I have certainly over the past 2 years let go of my Perfectionism.

I can tell you it feels great. I’m am starting to find my own style of drawing. I’m beginning to believe in myself.

I know I can do this, I just have to believe and practice as much as possible.
