My first proper attempt at trying to draw a cat in coloured pencils. I must add I’m a complete beginner but somehow I’ve unlocked a hidden talent  I have always wanted to draw from when I took art at school but was never encouraged so didn’t take it as an exam. I never had the belief/confidence that I could do it and I’m such a perfectionist that my inner self said I couldn’t do it.

Till this year. My 50th year and that has all changed. I have somehow squashed my self critical inner self the last few weeks and I’m at peace and if a drawing is a complete mess, least I’ve tried, as they say practice makes perfect. So my words to you are, if you’ve ever fancied trying something, then please do. You never know.

My ultimate goal is to be able to draw my furbabies ad to draw for others as a job and presents.

Probably a pipe dream but if I don’t try I’ll never know. Life is too short.
