I joined in the replay of Bonny Snowdon’s Academy Art Club back on the 23rd January 2024 to draw the kingfisher, this is a weekly live zoom meeting. I don’t normally join in live, so if I struggle or I’m too slow I can pause the recording.

The Kingfisher is being drawn on drafting film, I'[m using Grafix 0.5 double sided matt.

This was a first for me to be doing a background in Caran D’ache Neo Pastels, it was a scary process. I had to trust the process, it looked like a child had picked up a crayon and scribbled. I personally thought OMG this isn’t going to work.

Pencils – Faber Castell Polychromos Pencils, Caran D’ache Luminance Pencils and Carna D’ache Pablo Pencils

Surface – Drafting Film – Grafix 0.5 Double sided
