Yesterday I spent a day just working on my artwork. I have learnt so much following Bonny Snowdon and her advice on how to draw a human face, and that’s only the girls eyes, I’ve not even attempted the skin or hair yet.

I have to say when I started this earlier in the week I was scared to even try, but without trying you will never know if you can actually do it.

I have had to say to myself, just try it, if it goes wrong, so be it, at least I’ve had a go. I could surprise myself.

And so far I have surprised myself. I’m so pleased I’m pushing myself and not procrastinating, well that’s a lie cause I’ve put off starting this piece for the past 3-4 weeks.

Surface – Pastlemat

Pencils – Faber-Castell Polychromos, Caran D’ache Luminance, Derwent Drawing and Derwent Lightfast.

I hope you like what I’ve done so far.
