A couple of days ago I decided to get my own domain name (URL) for my artwork.

Back in August I added a subdomain to my cross stitching website, just to trial it to show my work. I found that the link was way too long.

So I took the plunge and decided I’d give it a try and pay for more web hosting with a new easier name.

For the past couple of days I’ve been quickly building this one.

I’m hoping it will give me the incentive to daily/weekly work on adding my work as and when I have time to draw, it will hopefully inspire me to draw more often, without the daily practice I can’t learn and improve.

The website is mainly to showcase my progress on my coloured pencil journey, so that I can improve my self belief that I can actually draw, I can look back in say 12 months time and see how my drawing style will have improved and developed.

My inner critic says I can’t but draw, who me !!!!! Don’t be silly.

Since July I’ve amazed myself that I actually can.

I have to say though that if I’d not found Bonny Snowdon Academy I don’t think I would have learnt so much in such a short space of time. I joined her Academy in September and I have to say it’s the best monthly subscription you can find online and well worth it, you get so much more than just coloured pencil tuition.

Bonny just doesn’t do a voice over, she explains in real time why she’s using a certain colour and why she’s using a particular technique for whichever surface she’s using to draw on.

There is a foundation course that you can do to get you started on your journey. She covers mindfulness and also has a business skills section to help you grow.
