It has been a long few months from when I last drew. 20th February to be truthful. Oh my gosh where has the time gone. As always the months are rolling by.

I kept procrastinating that I couldn’t draw. That it was a floock. The more I put it off the more I procrastinated.

Then Bonny Snowdon was running a coloured pencil week from the 20th May 2024. I thought come on Shazie, it’s time you had another go at drawing. To start building the muscle memory and to carry on my coloured pencil journey. Brent’s Legacy as I promised him last year as he passed.

The plan was to actually draw along with others on zoom or the day after the live events but sadly that didn’t happen, best laid plans and all that. But last week I grabbed the bull by the horns and forced myself to have a go. I have to say I’m pleasantly surprised that I can still draw. Yay.

I didn’t want to jump back to my already started pieces of artwork in case I couldn’t do it and make a mess of them. I have the kingfisher, bay horse and a girl in a blue hat left to finish.

So here you go my pieces I drew this week on the coloured pencil week, hosted by Bonny Snowdon.

I am still working on the Otter, I started that one yesterday. The cats eye and the dogs nose are finished pieces.
